Portfolio : GRAINS PRODUCTION

Varieties
We are passionate about our Grains production. The crops we grow are typical for our soil and the continental climate with long dry summers and windy cold winters: wheat, buckwheat, oat, rapeseed, corn, sunflower and soy as well as rye, barley and millet.
Equipment
We are well equipped with up-to-date machinery and tools: Belarus, IMT and New Holland tractors, Case and New Holland combine harvesters, Amazone and Kuhn seeders as well as with specialized organic cultivate equipment (Hatzenbichler, Kongskilde, Kverneland).
Conversion to Organic as Team Effort
Even though we felt confident going around our typical conventional grain business, our team felt confident enough to tackle the organic challenge. We began in 2011 rather small, with Suolo e Salute doo as our certifying body. The status of this surface is ....... ????? Baring responsibility of running a significant business venture with more than 60 employees, it has not been an easy decision to completely shift to organic, even though we have all privately felt like it. Yet in the summer of 2012, having experienced positive feedback from potential German import partners, we decided to rewrite our strategy and devote ourselves completely to the organic production.
Revenue from Conversion Goods
Since, out of the non-certified surface, we almost immediately (on September 28th, 2012) turned another 1.000 ha into conversion to organic; this time with Organic Control Systems doo (OCS) as the Serbian national certifying body and their German partner CERES GmbH as the EU counterpart. After the completion of the first season, as of October 2013 we harvested from this surface with the 'in conversion to organic' title: 280 tons of sunflower, 150 tons of soy as well as 1.500 tons of corn. Practically the complete 2013 harvest from this surface has been purchased by Bioland Markt GmbH, our German import partner, trading arm of the widely known organic association and is delivered on demand, from our storage facility and our Danube water terminal, by truck and ship, respectably. The remaining surface (another approximately 1.000ha) has been turned into conversion to just last autumn (September 28th, 2013) along with all relevant assets, such as the storage silo and thus we as the company on whole are now completely devoted to the production according to organic principles.
